In my present work, I am revisiting familiar sculptural ideas from my past projects, while expanding
these concepts into a new context. One of the basic ideas in this process is the concept of modularity.
I have always been intrigued with the idea of structures made up of connected parts
or components which can be reconfigured according to their locational context.

The location for which the work is created influences the creative process from the artwork’s
inception. The site becomes a part of the work by its influence, as well as being a physical portion
of the piece itself.

My previous installation entitled, "Transience" involves multiple translucent acrylic circles that hang
in vertical rows on very thin monofilament lines. The circles move freely, rotating by the natural air
circulation in the space. Each circle possesses both a unique color shifting quality and a radiant reflective
surface. These qualities allow the circles to interact with their location, as well as with the circles themselves.

My explorations in the use of materials and techniques within a minimal context, will always drive
me to continue a positive, forward shift within my artistic growth.
